So providers are free to repackage and reprice their services. Patients are free to pay market prices rather than the government's administered prices. That means buyers and sellers can deal with each other like normal people! Imagine that. No need for the PhD or MD degrees that Uwe Reinhardt thinks we all need in order to make intelligent decisions. And by the way, Uwe is wrong about the current state of affairs as well. Home bound disabled patients manage their own budget, hire and fire the vendors and providers who service them and are empowered consumers in the marketplace. Satisfaction is close to 100% and by every measure the program has been extremely successful. Imagine that. A health market that actually works. And it is here on earth, not on the distant planet Uwe Reinhardt describes in his comments to the previous post.
