The cookie diet is silly. I don't believe garlic can ward off colds.

I'm not a believer in eating cookies to lose weight. However, this diet appears to be just an easy way to count calories. I've done the same thing using V-8 Juice (75 calories /12oz), canned soups (105-150 /8oz) and Marie Callender's frozen dinners (310-350 each). As long as the total adds up to less than 1,000 per day, the weight just falls off. If I am still hungry, I allow myself a few steamed vegetables lightly sprayed with olive oil (but no butter). I don’t need to pay $1 to $2 per cookie ($6 to $10 per day) for someone else to take the math out of counting calories for a diet.
