As someone who grew up in a rural area, I fully agree with Ken and Tom.

It is worse than the graphs suggest. The average age of people that live in rural areas is higher than in cities. Young people move away from small towns to pursue better opportunities — leaving their aging parents behind. Access to a physician is already poor in rural areas and will likely get worse.

I think Stephen is right. I think rural Americans are about to get screwed. They just don’t know it yet.

I suppose country living would be okay if you had a large estate with lots of servants and a stable of horses and maybe your own helicopter.

I don’t know the details, but I would guess that rural folks are really going to get creamed when the Democrats in Congress gut the Medicare Advantage program.
