Music Video: Headline I Wish I Hadn’t Seen

In a win for irony, a music video entitled “Forget About the Price Tag” has won the Department of Health and Human Services Healthy Young America Video Contest. The link is to The White House blog, not The Onion.

If the administration actually paid as promised, your tax money was used to fund the $2,000 first prize. And, the first 100 qualified entrants received a “Stay Healthy Kit,” consisting of a t-shirt, a sun protection kit, and a water bottle.

The water bottles might actually be needed if we follow the British model. Here’s a headline from the Daily Mail:

Thousands Dying of Thirst on NHS:
Watchdog forced to issue guidelines on giving patients water.

    “Forget About the Price Tag”

Maybe the proponents of the PPACA should be tought about economics. The problem with U.S. health care is that everyone has pretty much forgotten about the price. Now we’re all paying the price!

Linda, that finding about the British National Health Service is amazing. We need to make more people aware of things like that.
