I always think it’s interesting when the “Eat This Not That” folks tell you not to eat the footlong sub and instead suggest a six inch. After all, by simply eating half of the unhealthy footlong, we could still cut our calorie intake by 50%. I don’t know many people who eat a footlong sub for lunch, and if you assume you’ll only be eating half of these sandwiches, the calorie differences start to seem less outrageous.
